Taiwan is subtropical in the north and tropical in the south. The differences between the two regions are not huge, usually within 5°C or 41°F. As Yanshui is located in the south of Taiwan, it is a perfect place to visit even in winter (Dec. to Feb.), cooler temperature than in summer and much less rain. The typhoon season often lasts from July until September.
